Mark was my best friend Junior High through High School. We had a blast together hanging out, camping down at Whitewater, attending keggars, etc. I spent as much time at his house as mine. His family took me in with open arms and it was neat hanging out with the Country Club Manor gang. It was really a sad day when Mona (Mark's mom) called to say he had died in Alaska. I have heard about a number of kids dying from inhaling nitrous oxide over the years in every state I lived. I have used Mark's story of a person who was very strong, succumbing, with many of the kids I have coached or been around. Mark's family is strong and dealt with his loss. I'll always miss him.
Mark was my across the street neighbor and, as was the case with most of us "manor" kids, a part of our family! It's easy to picture his face yet today and all that curly long hair!!! Miss you buddy!
