Rochester John Marshall High School
Class Of 1975

to the John Marshall Class of 1975 Web Site,

We're glad you found us !

Hello, classmates;

    This is not an easy note to write, but as you know, these are incredible times, and we have to do what makes sense.  I will get right to the point.  There is a very real possibility that we will have to postpone our 45th class reunion, currently scheduled for August 21st and 22nd, 2020.  With that in mind, we are asking you to help us make choices that we may need to act on, as the future unfolds before us.

   None of us can predict the future, and things we've never seen or considered are happening every day.  In that light, we are not, as yet, postponing our reunion.  But that stands as a very real possibility.  We will not make the final decision for a few more weeks yet.  Normally, our hard-copy invitation would go out in a month or two, so we do have a little time. However, we all know that everyone coming to the reunion must consider travel plans, financial planning, lodging plans, and many other tasks related to attending the reunion.  All these are being taken into consideration by the committee.

   Here's what we see as current possibilities;

1)   The reunion happens as scheduled.  Obviously, this will take many encouraging things to happen.

2)  The reunion is delayed, either until maybe fall, or possibly until next year.  Many factors are involved, such as venue availability, and any restrictions or conditions that may be imposed due to COVID-19.

   2a)  If cancelled for this year, we could have a 46th reunion.  Very unique.

3)  The reunion is cancelled in totality, and we hold off until the 50th reunion in 2025.  (Personally, I don't like this option.  There are too many nice people to see, and, sadly, some of us may not be here by the 50th.)

   Your committee desperately needs your help, in the following ways.....

   ---   If you get this e-mail, please forward it to any of our classmates.  Unfortunately, we only have a small percentage of our classmate's e-mail addresses, and we need more.

   ---   Pass this information on by word of mouth.......a phone call, a text message, any way you can.

   ---   If you do talk to anyone, please try to get them to send us their e-mail address.  They can do that by responding to one of the addresses given below.

   ---   If you are not currently registered on the JM Class of 1975 website, please do so.  It is free for you to use, and no information is ever shared to any outside entity.  (Thank you SO MUCH for those whom have registered in  the past few months.)  Feel free to use the "Private Message" option to send your e-maill address to Scott LaPree on the website, and nobody else will see it, to preserve your privacy.  In the near future, the website will be updated to reflect our current situation.

   ---   If you have any ideas, opinions, thoughts, or interesting options, please feel free to respond.  We will listen to them all.
At any time, please feel free to contact Scott LaPree at, or at 507.254.8001 (cell) or send hard mail to 4034 16th Avenue NW Rochester, MN 55901

   Your reunion committee cares very deeply about their mission, and we want what is best for all of us.  We ask for your patience and understanding, and we hope that all of you, and your families and friends stay safe, happy, and healthy during these never-before-seen times.  Thank you, everyone.  You truly are amazing people.

Lastly, our ultimate goal is to get out of the business of working so hard for so many hours to track everyone down each time we do a reunion. And, each of you can help ! By adding your email address to your profile, we hope to be able to keep in touch on this internet thing going forward .. so you can help by adding (and updating) your email address to your profile !

Thanks for your help !
