Thomas Krause

After graduating law school, I worked for Legal Services Corp. of Iowa, a non-profit corporation, for fourteen years. I then worked at a private law firm in Des Moines, Iowa, for five years. From 2002 until mid-2018, I worked primarily from home helping disabled individuals obtain Social Security benefits. Beginning May 2018, I was an Assistant Litigation Director and a Senior Attorney for Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services in Winona, Minnesota. From December 2023 to March 2025, I was Litigation Director for the D.C.-based National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (www.nosscr.org), working remotely from Winona. I am now returning to private practice, assisting other attorneys in appealing Social Security disability claims.

After two years at RCC, I went to the University of Minnesota - Duluth and graduated magna cum laude with a BA in History and a Minor in Philosophy. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1982.
